Whitelion is non-profit organisation working to inspire and empower disconnected young people by providing positive relationships and life-changing opportunities while supporting their progress towards life goals.
Bail Out is Whitelion's annual fundraising campaign which aims to raise much need funds to support youth at risk.
NEW IN 2010 we are asking you to help 'break this cycle' by registering to Bail Out and help us spread the word. Once you've registered online and having raised a minimum of $25, you'll be sent your pledge pack, including donation receipts and a 'mock' handcuff.
All Bail Out fundraisers will be encouraged to wear their ‘mock’ hand-cuff with pride during Bail Out week to not only raise awareness of Whitelion but to also help you reach your Bail target.
Whitelion Bail Out week runs from Monday 24th to Friday 28th May and aims to promote Whitelion through fundraising activities and lots of fun events.
Whitelion Bail Out week culminates at the historic Melbourne Crime & Justice Precinct on the evening of Friday 28th May 2010 with the infamous Bail Out Lock-Up ‘inmate’ experience & Parole Party events.
Bail Out Lock-Up is your opportunity to step into the shoes of a young person that has been disconnected from our community due to abuse and neglect, drug addiction and poverty. These young people have often had horrific life experiences with a ‘cycle of discouragement’ that is very hard to break.
A truly memorable evening awaits all you crooks, cons & crims as you celebrate your release at the Parole Party in the historic Old Melbourne Gaol. This is your chance to party like you have just made parole with the other fundraising participants and 'inmates'.
Alternatively, NEW IN 2010, you can register your own ‘Break Out’ party during the week to raise money. This could include raising funds at school, in your office or at home. Check out the Bail Out events calendar to see what other fundraising events have been registered and along with official Bail Out campaign events.
