Tasmania

Friday 13th May

Whitelion invites you to make a real difference in the life of a vulnerable young person by getting involved in our biggest fundraising and awareness campaign – Bail Out.

Bail Out is not a traditional fundraising event. There are no fancy tables, auction items, 3 course meals and you don’t need to dress up (we even provide attendees with clothing!).  You will be ‘locked-up’ as a fundraising participant, known as an ‘inmate’. Your adventure will start at Blundstone Arena, before being transported to the Old Richmond Goal.

This opportunity aims to connect some of the most powerful members of the business world with the least powerful, most vulnerable young people of our community.

The Bail Out or ’lock-up’ events expose inmates to life on the inside with activities that simulate and exaggerate prison life. Inmates will be stripped of possessions, fingerprinted, photographed and subjected to interrogation. You will also appear before a Magistrate in a mock court proceeding before being sentenced to some cell time.

Once we receive your registration you will be given a key – this key represents your ability to unlock the potential of a young person, it also symbolises your release from your Gaol Cell.  Please keep your key in a safe place and bring it to the event and go into the draw to win a holiday to the Gold Coast! (conditions apply).
